The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its activities, preventing pollution and promoting the sustainability of the natural resources upon which we depend, while providing quality programmes that meet the needs of our scholars.The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is committed to the continuous improvement of our environmental performance and to meeting or exceeding the requirements of all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Policy

The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is committed to promoting gender equity and avoiding all forms of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, difference of ability, age, class, caste, or religious or ethnic affiliation in all of its activities in Canada, India or anywhere else. Gender is to be understood in an intersectional manner throughout this policy.
Goal

Indian Advisory Council

The role of the Indian Advisory Council is to assist its Indian Member Council in guiding the work of the Institute. The Council oversees the academic programmes and activities of the Institute. The term of Indian Advisory Council is for five years. The Ministry of Education(MoE) nominates four non-official members (Academics). It is chaired by the Secretary, Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE). The other official members are representatives from High Commission of Canada to India, Ministry of External Affairs and University Grants Commission.
