Agriculture cooperation is front and centre of India-Canada bilateral relations and to achieve goals that are of strategic importance for both countries. With a vibrant trading relationship in agriculture and agri-food research and development partnerships are capable of catering to the contextual needs of India and Canada’s agriculture sector leading to product development, innovation and solution creation.
One Health is defined by WHO as “an approach to designing and implementing programmes, policies, legislation and research in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes”. One Health consists of human health, animal health, and the environment. It is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary strategy to promote research partnerships and knowledge exchange at various levels.
