When can I expect to be able to travel after being awarded an India Studies fellowship?
India Studies fellowship applications take about six months to peer review and adjudicate. Once the certificate of affiliation is secured the applicant must then apply for a research visa. From the time of application, applicants should expect to wait six months before hearing if they are successful and then wait another four to six months for approval of affiliation arrangements and approval of their research visa.
