Overview
Women entrepreneurship (WE) in India has substantial scope to contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country and women employment. The ratio of female to male entrepreneurs is observed to be low despite its focus on woman power such as Nari Shakti, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Atma Nirbhar Bharat, Women led Development etc., Financial schemes to support WE are also in plenty. Despite these attempts, WE initiatives, are low and less impactful .This workshop addresses these key issues.
The workshop is a motivation drill for women to engage in entrepreneurial ventures. We look at soft skills, technical and financial aspects of WE which are necessary for initiatives to kickstart and sustain. The workshop is unique with components such as Live video sessions, influential and experienced speakers from policy think tanks for policy interpretation, storytelling of real-life experiences of women who made it big, surmounting crisis in a constrained eco-system, live narration of failed ventures, brainstorming how to approach marketers and financiers, how to create a perfect business- plan complementing it with a creative pitching- strategy. It provides all ingredients necessary to become successful and orients on opportunity Seizure, financial, technological, and unpardonable mistakes in an entrepreneurial journey with suggestive pills on how to reverse a failing business. The workshop adequately covers all the possible AI tools and automation skills for effective application in all functional areas of business.
The workshop is a seed capital investment to understand women entrepreneurship 360 degrees from a holistic perspective. Shifting the skill set, mindset, and tool sets of women entrepreneurs is a focused paradigm of the workshop. We propagate to the audience to create a snowball effect, of the learnings of this workshop, within their immediate community to trigger entrepreneurial thinking among women. The workshop is a motivational session to master life skills required to tread and come out as a successful entrepreneur. The workshop session is a practical handbook and information encyclopedia of theoretical and practical exposure to all what an entrepreneur desires to know to walk this journey. Prof. Dr. Vijayalakshmi Iyengar is a whole- time Professor at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi in Strategy, Policy and Business Analytics Area, and the Chair Professor and Head of LBS Centre for Foreign Collaboration, Learning and International Exchange. She is an alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad and IIT -Madras. Prof. Vijayalakshmi passionately engages in the academic triad of teaching, research, and consulting in management education for nearly 18 years now. Her domain expertise revolves around Strategic Management, Business Policy, Business Model Innovation, Start Ups- Incubation and Entrepreneurship, New Product Development and Business Analytics in Healthcare, Agriculture and Education.
